Our very good customer, the prestigious Maison Bernard-Massard, renowned for sparkling wines (crémants), of exceptional quality, wished to mark the occasion of the house’s centenary by releasing a special crémant in a beautifully decorated and elegant bottle.
The wine undergoes a period of 18-24 months of maturation in the bottle. Herein lay the challenge, the screen-printed decoration would be scuff-damaged as the bottles were rotated during maturation. Clearly, applying hot-fired enamel after the maturation is not an option on filled bottles.
Because of our long-standing experience in the industry and our excellent artisanal contacts, we had the perfect solution to offer. The special enamel inks recommended were cold-applied! The outcome is a fittingly luxurious, decorated bottle.
